How to prevent fussy eating

  1. Offer wide range of different foods.
  2. Try to include babies at mealtimes – they learn by watching you eat!
  3. Let babies mess. They learn about food by touching it, smelling it and yes, rubbing it in their hair!
  4. Let them see you and the rest of the family eating lots of different foods and textures.
  5. Don’t fill them up with drinks and snacks in between meals.
  6. Fussy eating is usually down to not getting enough different foods and textures before 18 months.
